About
With more than 35 years of experience buying and selling homes as well as in construction and remodeling, Joe LoParo is an industry expert offering his clients an unmatched passion for real estate and a distinctive skillset perfect for helping them find their dream home and achieve their goals.
Joe served in the US Marine Corps for seven years and credits this time in his life for giving him his determination and drive to accomplish so much. First licensed as a real estate agent in 1984 when the market faced interest rates as high as 18%. He supplemented his real estate career as a licensed general contractor from 1989 until 2012. His general contracting knowledge, paired with his real estate expertise, gives him unique insight when helping his clients buy or sell a home.
Joe’s passion for his job reflects in everything he does, and as a realtor, his top priority is helping every one of his clients make their real estate dreams a reality.
Over the course of his career, Joe has become incredibly skilled in negotiating, mediating, and bringing a sense of calmness to highly emotional situations. He is a natural-born leader and problem solver and has been called upon many times by his friends and fellow contractors to help solve construction issues as well as contractural dilemmas. Joe’s skill set and dedication have been recognized countless times throughout his career, he has received several company awards for his community involvement and support.
He is also passionate about helping other real estate agents and sharing his vast industry knowledge with them. He served as the Chair of the Local Government Relations Committee Alameda for the Bay East Association of REALTORS in 2019 and has served as the Chair of the Alameda Chapter of the BayEast Association of REALTORS in 2020.
One of Joe’s greatest passions in life is volunteering and giving back to his community. He’s dedicated to raising awareness and donations for the George Mark Children’s House; a San Leandro-based charity focused on improving the quality of life and continuity of care for children with illnesses that don’t have a cure yet or with chronic medical conditions. He donates a portion of every commission he earns to the George Mark Children’s House in honor of his clients and his son Joey who passed away from cancer in 2015. Joe also supports and sponsors children’s sports teams, including the Challenger Programs, and serves as the Chair of the Veterans Memorial Day Ceremony and assists as a local Civilian Coordinator for the Alameda County Toys for Tots Program. During the COVID-19 pandemic, he joined a committee of support for elderly community members who were unable to venture out during the COVID-19 pandemic, volunteering to pick up groceries and pharmaceuticals as well as run various errands for these individuals. Joe also volunteers around the holidays, going into local senior living homes dressed up as Santa Claus. Previously, he has served as a board member on the Downtown Alameda Business Association and the Volunteer Facilitator for the Chronic Disease Self Management Program at the VA Hospital in Palo Alto.
Most recently, Joe has used his industry expertise and years of experience to write “Home Buyer’s Guide.” His hope is that the book provides readers with valuable information and that they enjoy reading and learning about his passion for real estate.
